Nonno

A horror about heritage, Dir. by Connor Martin (2022)

A man’s efforts to make his wife more comfortable in his old family home are thrown into jeopardy when he discovers a dark secret about his own heritage.

A soundtrack consisting of heavy drones and sinister strings, as well bowed metal objects, and processed diegetic sounds (captured on location by the film’s sound recordist, Nicholas C. Decker).

The film premiered at Austin Film Festival in October 2022 and is set to screen at several more festivals over the coming months. The full film is currently not available to watch online but a short clip can be found below, and more excerpts of the score are featured in my show reel.
